Everything gets fed to it via a playlist array. So you can send a bunch of videos to it and play them sequentially or skip through them using the menu bar. Plus you can mix and match types.
Easy to set up
That top demo just uses a link field. Just install the player, add a link field with unlimited values and set the display formatter for Projekktor...then link to whatever. It could be YouTube path (embed or watch), a remote file, or even a local file.
The links I used for the above demo
http://www.lunarclips.com/sites/all/libraries/projekktor/media/intro.mp4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLdZd7Z37lM http://medias.jilion.com/sublimevideo/dartmoor.mp4
And as you can see, it can display and unlimited number of players on a page. Each player can have different options and dimensions.
Projekktor plays well with views fields. Current integration allows adding "file" types to views data (such as media module, media: youtube, or standard file fields). Your view will utilize one video per node and combine them into a playlist.
So if you already have a bunch of YouTube content on your site in different nodes you can pump it all into a Projekktor through a node reference. Just install the module and set the display format to "Projekktor".
I'm currently in the process of integrating jCarousel support to take advantage of Projekktor's playlist functionality. Other eventual improvements include enhanced views support and WYSIWYG support.
The module is currently alpha testing and appears to be quite stable. By all means please toy with the module. Looking forward to hearing back from testers.
It probably works with lots of others too. I haven't tested them all yet.
Thanks
PS: I'm working on getting it up and running in an overlay like in the Imageflow demo.

Yeah nice work! I love this awesome player but there wasn't a drupal module. I thought I can build a projekktor module but now I think I only can post patches ;)
I'm open to having a co-maintainer on this if you're interested.
Also, I'm dealing with an problem getting it to initialize properly. It's causing the player to act buggy. I posted an issue on the project page. If anyone can come up with a solution I would be very appreciative.
Initialization bug is fixed.
And obviously from the front page demo jCarousel support is now baked in.
Any improvements in the next few days will probably focus on optimizing code and quashing bugs.
After that I think views support needs more attention (it needs to work with the carousel).
Views works with the carousel now.
Actually everything works with the carousel.
I like the look of this software but no matter what i try i cant get it to work i keep getting this error
"Projekktor requires an file field to be added."
You only have the title in your view. Add a file field.
Your question is totally legit. Would you mind posting in on the module issue queue instead of on this website. That way others can see it.
I have added a file field, I think. But still getting this error. Could you elaborate?
When I choose add field there are nine options, pretty self explanatory, file name, file path, mime type etc.
I have got this to work sort of, just trying to make it pretty now, which is why I started with a new view. But when I added new view and got this error I'm scratching my head.
It should work as long as you have a "file" type field in your view. That could be a true file (mp4/ogv/webm or whatever). And if you are using media youtube those will also be considered a "file".
I tested this module on one of my websites. Everything works fine, except the preloader/buffer image. It does not load in the middle, the screen goes blank for a while, I tried everything but couldn't fix it, Please help. Its live on home page of this website http://cslinc.ca/.
Thanks!
When certain non-html5 video files are being buffered it doesn't show the loader. You're using .mov (quicktime) format. Try encoding in h264 mp4 and maybe ogv too for best performance. The module allows having multiple video formats available at once by using a field collection.
For further info on this I suggest posting an issue on the projekktor forum. This is more related to the projekktor library and video in general than the module.
Thanks for the extra information. I added 'field collection' with one image field and 3 file fields to upload to extra files. But when I use this in my views it allows me to select only one field out of 3 files I uploaded. Am I missing something or doing it wrong? Any hint on this would a great help.
Thanks in advance!
Added 3 new file types ogv, webm and mp4 and got it working with 'field collection' but encountered another problem. Now I get 'The requested file does not exist. Click display to proceed.' in Firefox and Opera. Is there any fix to this or if anyone ever had this problem? In case you need to see live here is the link [ http://cslinc.ca/ ]. I'm so sorry to bug you. Please help.
Don't use views with the field collection. Just create a node with your two field collections, have the display formatter set to projekktor in your content's "manage display", and display the node with the videos in it.
If you are already doing that than my short term suggestions would be to use only the mp4 file. At least you'll get html5 in webkit browsers and it will fall back to flash in the others. It's better than MOV. I'm in the midst of a major project and probably won't get a chance to investigate the module for a few days.
You are so awesome James, mp4 works great with flash fall back. I really appreciate your help. Thank you so much!
I'm a beginner with Drupal7, and despite your article, I can't find out how to get my video displayed with projekktor.
I installed the Projector Module, I added a file field for my content type. I create a new content, upload my video, but nothing is displayed.
Can you explain how to do it step by step? thank you.
Make sure you add this to http://groups.drupal.org/node/168009
I m like krs, and don't find how to get projekktor working with the carroussel, could someone explain much the steps ?
